What are Oracle Cards ?

In many ways they are similar to Tarot Cards- please see my other pages which contain lots of informtion on Tarot cards, their history and uses as well as common spreads.
Oracle cards are intended to give insight and positive outlooks to people. Like Tarot cards, I do not consider that they are capable of predicting the future, for that matter, I do not think the future is set in stone, but is a variable depending on the course of action that we take at any given moment. Unlike Tarot cards, the Oracle cards are not divided into suites, but instead each card has a specific independent meaning.

There are many different Oracle Card decks. I work with the Druid Plant Oracle. The Druids have always attached special meanings to particular trees, herbs and fungi, and it is this wisdom that is distilled into these cards. I find they give very powerful and uplifting readings, free of the negativity that is sometimes associated with certain Tarot Cards. However, that is not to say that all is fluffy and light - the Druid Plant Oracle acknowledges there are times of darkness and challenges, but attempts to provide insight and seek remedies and healing for these difficult times through the knowledge, power and wisdom of the plants depicted on the cards.
I use a variety of different spreads, from a simple one card quick question to more detailed spreads examining various aspects of the issue that the Questioner has.  I find these cards full of natural wisdom and sage advice, and often turn to them personally when I have an issue that I am grappling with. I find using these cards often provides the mental or internal clarity I was seeking, and that I am empowered to reach my own conclusions following contemplation of the cards.

If you would like me to read from the Druid Plant Oracle for you, please look at the information pages on the spreads that I use, and either contact me using the Contact details on the Contact page, or place an order for a reading direct from the tab above.
