I am an advocate of nature based living, which means, being outside as much as possible, eating wholesome and natural foods seasonally, preferably grown locally or foraged, observing and honouring the rhythm of each day and each season. I am a strong believer in a nature based approach to parenting, balancing attachment with boundaries, freedom with learning, emotionally, and spiritually as well as intellectually. As a parent of two young children, a boy and a girl, I am able to empathise with the dilemmas that arise in modern day parenting and have previously offered guidance to many parents, working with a variety of different families and different issues. I have extensively researched attachment parenting styles including unschooling and have studied in depth the work of philosopher and educatorRudolph Steiner. I have taken elements from all of these philosophies and combined them with my own knowledge and experience to create a new paradigm for holistic family living, which in time I hope to share more fully here.
I live between the moors and the seas in the heart of the beautiful Devon countryside in the south west of the United Kingdom. Whilst family is at the heart of everything I do, my interests include Yoga, Meditation, Reading, Cooking and Crafting using the fruits of nature that surround me.
